Dr. Israeli is trained in clinical psychology and neuropsychology. Clinical neuropsychology focusses on understanding the relationship between the brain and behaviour. It involves understanding how the brain develops and works. This is used to determine how a person thinks and acts in the moment, which will help guide diagnosis and treatment of brain related problems. Neuropsychological evaluations focus on cognitive functioning, but may include screening of mental health, and adaptive functions (e.g., one’s ability to complete activities of daily living). Should an individual require a more in-depth evaluation of mental health issues they can let our office know that they wish to pursue a joint psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological evaluation.
